The Bellibone Collective formed around the idea that collaboration, encouragement, and a network of support inspires us to be the best version of ourselves. The word “bellibone” is an obsolete term for a woman who cultivates both beauty and goodness, and we aim to expand this meaning for the 21st century.
Although founded by four women, anyone who wants to participate is welcome. At least once per year, members are expected to offer something of themselves to the collective for the greater good, whether it be time, manpower, or a special skill.
We offer a home base for community engagement projects, and encourage collaboration among members. In today’s world, artists and organizations are required to be their own designers, marketers, photographers, organizers, builders, teachers, accountants, and more. With a network of skilled artists, we accomplish more together and build on each other's strengths.
In a tumultuous time where threats to our civil liberties and the environment are pressing, it’s more important than ever to seek out and create beauty and goodness within ourselves and our communities.
Bellibone Collective was founded in 2019 by Candice Jeffries, Allison Eskridge, Bridgette Matison, and Andrea Poulsen.
